Thonga Beach Lodge sleeps 24 on an undeveloped stretch of the Maputaland coast in KwaZulu-Natal, with coastal forest, grassland and lakes behind the beach.
Rooms are 60 square metres, with Ocean View Rooms and Forest Rooms, air conditioning and mosquito nets. The diving at Mabibi is a highlight, with the lodge's own dive team, and the snorkelling is excellent too. There is a pool, a spa and a restaurant. The warm, clear water is the main draw.
