Sungulwane Private Game Lodge has just 8 suites and takes no more than 20 guests, on the Zuka Private Game Reserve in KwaZulu-Natal.
The 2 family suites have private verandas over the valley and glass doors onto the surrounding red ivory forest. Days are yours to shape, with game drives twice a day in search of the Big 5. The lodge has a pool, a spa and a good wine list. Babysitting can be arranged, and the area is free of malaria.
