Canvas and glass meet in the 12 tented suites at Shamwari Bayethe Tented Lodge, each screened by thick vegetation for privacy.
Every suite sleeps 2 adults and has a bath, indoor and outdoor showers and a private deck with a plunge pool. The main lodge looks over a waterhole, and has a lounge and bar with a fireplace, a boma, a fitness centre and indoor and outdoor dining. Game drives go out at sunrise and sunset, with guided bush walks, birdwatching and spa treatments in between. Shamwari is a malaria-free Big 5 reserve of 25,000 hectares, and guests can also visit its wildlife rehabilitation centre.
