Shisaka means nest, and each of the 6 suites at Sandringham Shisaka Camp has a nest-like sala on its roof for lazing by day and stargazing at night.
The lodge stands in a tamboti thicket beside a tributary of the Timbavati River, with semi-circular suites shaped to take in the river view. Each has a king-size bed, a freestanding bath, a large dressing room and a pergola-shaded deck with a private infinity pool. For families and groups there are 2 villas, each with 2 en-suite bedrooms, a sunken lounge, a large pool and a private game drive vehicle. Hoedspruit is a 45 minute drive away.
