Karoo Lodge began life as a farmstead, and its reworking keeps the feel of a traditional Karoo homestead inside a natural amphitheatre of mountains.
It has 8 standalone Karoo Suites for couples and 2 Family Suites, with guests of all ages welcome. Each Karoo Suite comes with a four-poster bed, a fireplace, air conditioning, an outdoor shower and a covered patio facing the mountains. Around it lie 67,000 acres of rewilded Great Karoo, where cheetah are tracked on foot and lion, black rhino and aardvark also live. A swimming pool, a farm kitchen and a vinoteque complete the lodge.
