Royal Morubisi Founders Lodge is on the Kaingo Private Game Reserve, 16,400 hectares of the Waterberg about 2.5 hours by road from Johannesburg.
The reserve is free of malaria and home to the Big 5, along with 352 species of bird. Guests choose between Luxury Suites, Safari Suites and Leopard House, which is laid out as a family suite. There is a pool, a small gym, a thatched bar and a boma. Beyond game drives, days can include a boat cruise on the Mokolo River, fishing, and tours of ancient rock art.
