The 10 glass-fronted suites at Madikwe Hills Private Game Lodge are scattered across a hillside among tamboti trees and linked by wooden walkways.
Each has a private plunge pool, a spacious bathroom and a deck for watching game from the suite. The main area sits under a vaulted thatch roof held up by twisted leadwood trunks, with a wine cellar, a bar and a pool deck above a waterhole. There is also a spa and a gym, and days run around 2 game drives with bush walks as an option. Madikwe is a malaria-free Big 5 reserve, and the lodge takes children over 10.
