Named after Colonel James Stevenson-Hamilton, the first warden of the Kruger National Park, Hamiltons Tented Camp recreates the safari style of his era.
Its 6 canvas tents stand on raised timber platforms linked by walkways, above the N'waswitsontso River. Each has teak floors, a slipper bath, an outdoor shower, air conditioning and a private plunge pool on its deck. Steamer trunks, brass light switches and hurricane lanterns set the period mood, while a butler looks after the practical side. Game drives and bush walks explore a 10,000-hectare private concession, with bush picnics and spa treatments on request.
