What our guests say
★★★★★ 5.0 from 204 Google reviewsYou can’t even compare them to other travel agents. They go above and beyond. Every detail is taken care of.
They are professional, their response time is amazing, and they put you first as the customer.
Amazing support and advice from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble.
Fugitives' Drift Lodge is the place to hear the story of the Anglo-Zulu War, told on the ground where it happened.
The lodge was founded by David Rattray, and guided battlefield tours can be arranged. Its 10 rooms have air conditioning, inside and outside showers and a veranda looking towards the Buffalo River Gorge. There is a museum of historical artefacts, the Harford Library and a pool with a view of both battlefields. A guided walk to the graves of Lieutenants Melville and Coghill is part of every stay.
