Elephant Plains has been run by the same family since it opened in 1998, on land they have owned for decades.
The lodge sits on the dry Manyeleti riverbed in the Sabi Sand, looking over a clearing and a waterhole. It takes 24 guests at most, in rondavels, Luxury Suites and the Manyeleti Honeymoon Suite. Between drives there are 2 swimming pools, a gym, a games room and a wine cellar. Each day brings 2 game drives of about 3 hours, plus a bush walk after breakfast.
