Amazing support and advice from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble.
Birkenhead House sits on a clifftop promontory between 2 beach coves in Hermanus, looking out over Walker Bay.
Its 11 rooms are spread across 3 houses, from sea-facing Deluxe Superior Rooms with large balconies to mountain-facing Standard Rooms, and 1 Luxury Room has its own plunge pool patio. Whales can be watched from land here, and a 14 metre catamaran runs ocean safaris. Other ways to fill a day include the 12 kilometre cliff path, surfing lessons, mussel picking with a cooking class and wine tasting in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley. There is a spa, and Cape Town is a 90 minute drive away.
