With just 4 safari tents, Amakhala HillsNek Safari Camp is a small, family-run lodge that can also be booked for exclusive use.
It sits on the banks of the Bushman's River in a secluded corner of Amakhala Game Reserve. Each tent is raised on a wooden deck with wide views over the plains, and has an en-suite bathroom and an outdoor shower. Fans and electric blankets take care of warm days and cold nights. Amakhala is a Big 5 reserve in the malaria-free Eastern Cape, with day and night game drives led by rangers.
