The Selati River runs past Abelana River Lodge, and hippo, crocodile and a long list of birds can be watched from the decks.
All 20 rooms are thatched, with an outside shower, air conditioning and a private deck facing the water. The main lodge has a swimming pool, a bar, a lounge, a fire pit and dining areas both indoors and out. Guided game drives go out morning and afternoon, with bush walks, birding and stargazing on offer too. Photographers are well looked after, with wildlife photography among the listed activities.
